Deserts, by their name, imply that their inhabitation is next to impossible. It is deserted in all respects. But that doesn’t mean that you have to be scared of its extent and challenging weather.

1. Taklamakan Desert, western China
The vast and unique desert sees different climatic conditions throughout the year, like any other place. Because the desert sees hot weather during summers around 110 Fahrenheit maximum, which is still manageable, and the temperatures severely drop during winter months. 2. Thar Desert, western India
The oscillating sandy desert of Thar is one of its prime features. The terrain despite consisting of nothing but sand dunes looks wavy and smooth. There are also some barren hills you would see and camel riding you can enjoy. The arid climate supports sparse to no vegetation. Frequent encounters with desert animals are possible here. If it rains, the low-lying areas fill up or some streams might form. The extent is vast and could be measured by jeep rides that are generally enjoyed here.
3. Kyzylkum Desert (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan)
The sloping desert of Kazak Kyzylkum or Uzbek Kyzylkum desert begins to take shape from the highlands of Central Asia. The temperatures soared for most of the months so it qualifies as ‘chilly hot’. Snakes, lizards camels, etc. can be found here. The arena is vast stretching above 100,000 square miles. To experience the near-frightening experience and hear the echo of obscure silence and buzzing curiosity, you should travel to this desert.
4. Gobi Desert, south Mongolia
The high elevation ranking of the desert automatically makes it closer to the uninterrupted heat that is also complemented by the mountain ranges which soar up the warmth. High dunes are expected here. Because the coverage by area is scary with high and low elevations frequenting, there are some cliff formations visible too. You are also likely to see the remnants of the Great Wall of China buried as the desert covers some part of this country too.
5. Ladakh, northern India
This cold desert is not too vast but is inhabitable mostly. Life is pretty tough here since it lies in the Greater Himalayas. The cold is peaking throughout the year. The scenery is beautiful, with a mix of blue, brown, and white, and the sun shines sometimes. It is one of the favorite tourist destinations of the locals. The pathways remain snowed all seasons.
